Brilliant! It was odds on to be faulty, seen a few recently - what brand/make was it?0

It is a Wylex. like i say, only fitted about 10 months ago.
also, when i mentioned that I swapped it foranother one, i didn't mean me personally as I dont touch electrics - they frighten me!
guy next door is a sparky. he swapped the 6amp one for a 20amp (whic was spare) to get me going again till I can get some 6a spares in0 -
He might have trouble finding a 6A Wylex mcb at the moment - all the stocks of Wylex 6A, 10A and 16A breakers have been recalled pending a problem! (Also includes Crabtree and Volex as they have the same maker). Fortunately other makes will fit happily (he should know which) but he really ought to get a 6A in ASAP, 20A won't trip soon enough if there is an overcurrent fault.

Managed to get 2 Wylex 6A from my local electrical store (1 for spare). Will see if he can switch it out by Monday.
I watched him put the other one in - looked dead easy - but I hate electrics so rather get him in.0
