Help! Easymobile won't leave me alone!
A couple of weeks ago I started getting cold calls almost every other day from Easymobile (or possibly another company which spells its name differently but pronounces it the same).
The calls all start 'Hello, Mr *****? I'm just ringing with regard to your Orange mobile contract...'
From the outset I pointed out that my Orange contract expired and was cancelled months ago and that this woman from Easymobile was actually calling me on my O2 number which I've had for years.
I asked how she got the number (as I am registered on TPS not to receive cold calls) and she said it was on her company's database. I asked her to have it removed from the database and not to call me again.
Since then I have had five or six calls, all starting with the same patter.
The latest was a couple of days ago and I just lost the rag:
EASYMOBILE: 'Hello, Mr *****? I'm just ringing with regard to your Orange mobile contract...'
ME: 'Is that Easymobile by any chance?'
EASYMOBILE: 'Yes...'
ME: 'Well you have called me several times about this now and each time I tell you not to bother me any more. Now p*** off!'
I hung up and my rather shocked girlfriend asked what that had been all about. I explained (meanwhile Easymobile are ringing me again and I decline to take the call). My girlfriend said that if the woman phoned again she would answer.
This happened about 20 seconds later and my girlfriend said the woman went off on some tirade in Welsh, said something about 'reporting' me (ha!) and hung up.
Now obviously I'm not worried about her empty threat, as it's not illegal to tell someone to p*** off, especially when they've been harrassing you with unwanted calls after you've asked them not to.
But my question is, what can I do about this?
Strangely for a cold call, an actual number comes up when they ring me (it looks a bit like a mobile number which I think is part of the trick in getting people to answer). I'm going to contact O2 today to ask that calls from this number be barred but I don't anticipate that they will/can be much help.
Any other ideas?

One things for sure it wont be the Original Easymobile you are getting calls from.Because they only sell their own products.
https://www.easymobile.com
Its possibly these people.

Before you can do anything you need to find out who is actually calling you.0 -
I should point out that although they say they are ringing with regard to my Orange contract, I think that is just a preamble into '...and why you should change to us'.
The other thing is, I have a number for them but it's not coming up in any search engines.0 -

It would not be https://www.easymobile.com they dont sell contracts.
Whats the first 5 digits of the number?0 -
I doubt very much that that would be https://www.easymobile.com as well - they don't really care about contracts.
Sounds like someone's trying to pull a fast one...0 -

I've had a lot of missed calls too, and have not given my EM number to anyone, what does the number begin with? is it: 020 8729 etc."I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0

As these people are looking for big spenders, quite by accident I found the best way to get rid of them faster than a scalded cat is to be interested, and when they ask how much you spend per month just tell them you are a very low user, about £2 per month and have a Virgin equivalant plan (like a contract but with no line rental). Apologised for bothering me and never heard from them again!0 -
Sorry for not replying sooner, folks, and thanks for your help.
They have used two numbers, both beginning 07790830***.
As someone pointed out in a private message, they could be spoofing those numbers.
I had a feeling that it wasn't the real Easymobile and have no intention of giving them any money or information but I just want to know who was annoying me.0
