This could do with being made more public for people in need.
I just (after getting brave enough from reading this thread) took the plunge and visited the vet for a prescription for my dogs pain killers. For a months supply at the vet it would cost me £70:eek: with the prescription on line it has just cost me £25.40. Thats quite a saving eh?
I have been buying the wormers on line for years at a saving of a 1/3 of the cost from the vet, and also bought the frontline too recently. I have a well stocked first aid kit for the dogs from vetmedic too, to avoid most visits.

I was in Lidl on Saturday and they do a dog food which contains glucosamine and chondroitin for older dogs, i wonder if anyone out there knows if its worth the cost (£5.99 per bag ...not sure of weight but not big) or shall I carry on with cheapo dog food and glucosamine tabs?

Be careful with this one. With glucosamine it's important the dosage is high enough - otherwise you'll be paying extra for something that doesn't work. With tablets you need to be getting at least 500mg ones, and the actual dose will depend on what your vet has suggested for your dog. So work it out according to how much food she'd be getting and then see if there's enough for it to be beneficial before you decide.liz.. wrote:I was in Lidl on Saturday and they do a dog food which contains glucosamine and chondroitin for older dogs, i wonder if anyone out there knows if its worth the cost (£5.99 per bag ...not sure of weight but not big) or shall I carry on with cheapo dog food and glucosamine tabs?0
