So I take it young people these days are not interested in culture, history or beautiful scenery? I can only assume that genuinegal is one of this new breed? Of course there are many other things to do in Krakow, as in any other city, as other contributors to this forum have pointed out. I was only trying to be helpful as I thought that was what these forums were for, not there as a platform to rubbish other peoples suggestions.
Also, Polish students are really friendly and certainly know how to party! Krakow has fantastic nightlife for a city of its size (as does Wroclaw).0 -
Something for everyone then! Really looking forward to our trip.Thanks!0

Talking of Croatia try this offer:
The cool Le Meridien Lav Split resort in Dalmatia, Croatia is offering to cover EUR200 for the cost of flight tickets if you stay there 5 nights or longer.
Search in Google for Le Meridien Lav Split

Prague is lovely, but if boyfriend has already been, I would second Marrakesh - I have been twice and it's fairly cheap although flights can be more expensive and there is a lot of poverty around, which some people find upsetting. I thought it was very different and amazing.
Anywhere within the Euro is going to be pretty expensive - the exchange rate is slightly better. Apparently Portugal, Greece, Spain and Ireland are the best value Euro destinations at the moment. Barcelona is lovely and much cheaper than say Paris.
For Paris anyone in the south should consider Eurostar rather than flying.
Istanbul and Dubrovnick are both on my to do list and look fantastic.
Norway is fantastic, but wow it's expensive. It is almost too expensive to eat there.
Venice is my favourite and I could manage that within your budget. Ryanair, bus to Venice, cheap hotel in Canareggio, pizza and prosecco for dinner... I love Venice.0 -

Prague's curency is still the Czech Koruna, they haven't gone over to the Euro just yet. Todays exhange rate has it about 27Kc to the £, which is ok but not great. When i 1st went 5 years ago you could get 44 to the £ but it's still a cheap place to go if you know where to look :beer:0 -
Gib isn't in the Euro either.
If you have Airmiles you can go with BA for only 750 miles each - leaves all your cash to spend whilst there.:beer:Waddle you do eh?0
