Firefox has disappeared

My Firefox has disappeared. It started when it kept saying it was already open but I couldnt find it and it wasnt on the screen. Then when I restarted the computer the shortcut didnt do anything. ive tried to download another one and it goes through the performance of downloading but then its not there.
Help please.

Try opening the task manager, click on the processes tab and see if firefox.exe is running, if it is highlight it and stop it.
Hopefully if you then restart Firefox it will open.That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
What OS are you running? You may have deleted the desktop shortcut. Does it still appear in the Start>Programs menu? If so, just right click to recreate the shortcut from the desktop.No free lunch, and no free laptop

the shortcut is there but nothing happens when you click it. And when I search for it it only brings up the shortcut not a programme.

Just check for the FF icon where you installed and try from there.0
