Hi all My partner earns £1038 a month full time, we were told yesterday by Tax credits he earns too much to get working tax he was getting £17 a week this has now stopped does anyone know why it could have been stopped, is it because i get carers allowance because this is all i get ?

Yes i am asking why he earns just over £250 a week didn't think that was enough for working tax to be stopped just thought you had to earn so much, my brother earns double that thats why he doesn't get any tax credits:oAutism isn't the end of the world just a journey to another one:)

I think (somebody correct me if I am wrong) that your Carers Allowance is also counted as income so this would take you over the £17,000 per annum threshold - you might want to double check with WTC that this is the reason why the payments have now stopped. Are you still getting your Child Tax Credits?:j:T Total Prize Value 2012 - £1835 :T:j

No problem but please do double check with Tax Credits that this is the reason - would hate for anybody to lose out on benefits they are entitled to - let us know how you get on:j:T Total Prize Value 2012 - £1835 :T:j
