Differnce between Bank Charges & Mortage Charges

Options
In recent weeks two Mortgages companies have been fined by the FSA part of which is for unfair fees that don't reflect the true administration cost to the companies. and ordered to repay customers.

Why was it different for the banks, with regard to Bank charges? Just a thought.......

Why was it different for the banks, with regard to Bank charges?

The lenders were fined by the FSA for rule breaches and for charging outside of the agreed contract. Hence, very different to bank charges.
