Barclaycard transfer apr for life of balance....

I have paid off my Barclaycard in full and now I want to take advantage of the apr for life transfer offer. Martins article credit card shuffle says wait until your statement shows £0 balance, well that would be ok if my next statement wasn't due until the day after the apr for life of transfer deal runs out.

What should I do? Hope that barclaycard make the same offer next month or wait til it shows £0 online and then transfer before next statement? I would like to understand the significance of waiting til statement shows £0.

Can anyone help?

You could phone them and ask them to confirm you have a zero balance, then ask them to e-mail you confirmation. Print and keep that as you record of a zero balance.

  • I am in the same situation. Called up Barclaycard to enquire & they advised me that the 6.9% for L.O.B was available on my account until 2008.
    Give them a call on 01604 234234, 3p only with 1899, none of that 0870 business......:D
