I'm looking to buy an Electricity Monitor and I would like the USB facitiy to be able to have graphs an charts on my PC, OWL do one but when you buy all the bits you need for it, it comes to around £85!

Firstly, are they worth it?
Secondly, can anyone reccomend an alternative (In my case I would like the USB wireless thiggy for the computer to download the data)

Any help would be greatfully recieved!

Lauren!

The Current Cost "Envi" (which was given away by Sky, British Gas etc and appears on ebay in droves) has an RJ45 port on the back and you can purchase a USB to RJ45 lead for it on ebay.
(Current Cost also have their own website and ebay shop).

I have the Sky branded model and I've been very impressed with it. The clamp and "sender" unit which need to go near the consumer unit are quite a bit bigger than the Efergy one I had before, but I sold it when I was given the Sky one as I wanted to play with the PC connectivity.

If you're not using Windows then I believe there are also a few Linux packages that support the Current Cost range too.
