Blocked startup programs

I was hoping someone could help me with this.

I have malware bytes anti-malware installed onto my laptop and have done for sometime, never had any problems with it until recently. Basically someone in our house has been looking at *ahem* dodgy websites :o, and now everytime I start the laptop up a little icon appears in the corner saying Windows has blocked some startup programs. When I double click on it, it says (amongst other things) show or remove blocked startup programs. I've clicked on that, found the malware program, but then I don't know how to remove it from the list (so thats its not blocked)

I don't know if it's connected (I suspect so) but since this has been happening my laptop has been running VERY slowly, and I've just tried to log onto a webpage and its still (15 minutes later) trying to load it. My antivirus is up to date so this is the only other thing I can think of.

If anyone could help me sort this out I would be very grateful!

:o I don't know! Sorry, I'm not very techy, hence the need for help! Is there a way of finding out?

Incidentally, I've run the scan and it's all come back clear :)

    click control panel
    click system and security
click view amount of RAM & processor speed

this will bring a box up with the info you need

    Thank you :)

    The RAM is 2.0GB. Processor says Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU T2390 @ 1.86GHz 1.87GHz.

I have absolutely no idea what this means!

Thanks for any help you can give me :)
