Free/Cheap allotment things

Any idea's wheres the best place is to find allotment things for free/cheap such as
  • Plastic/fabric to cover weeds
  • breeze blocks, bricks and/or paving slabs for paths
  • scaffold poles and wire
  • bean sticks
  • etc

    Hi try looking in skips and go to any building site and ask the site manager if they have anything that they wont use or thats been used and no longer needed

    I've seen more "Wanteds" than "Offers" sadly.

    Still, you might be one of those lucky ones!

    Oh yes, your local tip might be ameanable, I managed to get some lumps of concrete to stand my water butt on last year. You should ask first though.

    Thanks for all the advice. I will keep an eye out and start asking around.

    It just so happens that on the way to work this morning I saw a skip full of old breeze blocks so on the way home I will ask if I can have them for my greenhouse base.
