You don't give enough information about what you are doing and where the links are.

I have a bookmark in Firefox which points to https://webmail.blueyonder.co.uk/ which, when clicked on, gives you the webmail web page where you have to enter your blueyonder username and password...

I think OP is saying that when they click on a mail: hypertext link while browsing it brings up their default email client (OE) but they want their default email client to be blueyonder's webmail service which I don't think is possible as it's a web service and not an email client.

The only way of doing this would be to set Outlook to send/receive the Blueyonder mail. This link explains how to do this.

i am not certain if I misundesrtood the question or everyone else has.

When you click on a link like mailto:x@yz.com then it will create a message using your default email application.
To change the default Email application you need to do it from Internet Explorer
Tools -> internet options ->Applications ->email drop down list
This however only gives you the standard options. Hotmail is included so I guess there must be a way to get your webmail into there ...I will test it
