White Boxes with little x in corner

what do i need to do to enable so i can view the little white boxes with a little x in the corner?

im guessing they are images that cant be displayed on a website, either the image doesnt exist or your pc isnt downloading them.

wow, well deduced bob_man_uk! i thought he have been referring to files/icons without an associated program but that makes more sense.
balloo - try right clicking it and clicking 'show picture', if it still doesn't work its probably a problem at the other end so there is little you can do apart from drop them a friendly email

white boxes are synonymous with web pages, thats not to say that some apps wont "borrow" images and link to them through the internet connection. bad practice but ive seen it happen.
though ive seen people visiting legitimate websites and every image is a red cross white box, never did manage to solve the problem, format works though

white boxes (missing images) will be seen only in IE and not in FF.0

I can't remember what sites they are on (Nothing Dodgy Tho) :rotfl:I have tried right clicking and nothing happens. not to worry its not important to me just wanted to see if I could rectify it.
