Problems with bank and mortgage

Hi
I had my mortgage approved and all the paperwork sent through, all good. Except that I found out that my retirement age is wrong and should be 3 years later than in the documents. This was over a week ago.I have left messages, had the issue escalated to the team manager of the mortgage consultant, I have called every day for a week but no one is calling me back! I have not signed anything and I have commissioned a survey through my bank so the whole buying process is being held up.
I'm considering changing banks for my mortgage - if I haven't signed anything can I do this?
The service so far has been appalling I'm just worroed how bad it will be once I have actually signed documents etc.

Santander is the lender - if I haven't signed anything - can I dump them?0

This is typical of Santander...just bear with it...otherwise it could cost you...0
-
What do you mean? Surely if I hevn't signed anything they can't charge me the mortgage fee yet?0
-
if they have commissioned and done a survey they can charge you for that.
Santander are notorious for their inefficiency.. why not go to a broker... you get much better service and they do all the chasing up - much less stressful - make sure its a "whole market" broker
good luck0
