How do i find existing gas/elec supplier

Just moved to my new place and i'm trying to work out who the existing suppliers are. Been asking the EA but he is not getting back to me.

Is there a way i can find out myself.

electricity: http://www.energylinx.co.uk/mpan_request.htm gives a list of phone numbers
if you're not sure exactly what region you're in, try what you think, they'll advise you of the correct number if you're wrong
