Hotel check list

I know this is a silly question - I have just booked our first holiday aboard going to Roda in Corfu, and staying in a 3* hotel, B and B, the question i have is what can i expect the hotel to provide in the way of towels, soap, ect.

I have never stayed in a hotel before and not quite sure what to pack, dont want to take anything that is not really necessary, i know i have to take personal stuff.

I know someone will be able to help a first time hoildaymaker.

Many thanks
Hoping that when I start looking after the pennies, and the pounds will take care of them selves :j

There should be enough bath and hand towels and perhaps a little bar of soap at the sink, but to be honest you can't expect any more toiletries than that in a 3* hotel - so take everything you would normally need on a daily basis. Unless it specifically mentions it in the brochure, I would not expect a hairdryer in a 3*, so take that too - along with an adapter (sold in Boots, Tescos etc) Don't worry too much though - there are always shops locally to get stuff you have forgotten. Just don't forget prescription medication!!

I wouldn't expect towels for around the pool, you need to take those.

Google for the hotel and see if it lists the amenities, hairdyer etc.

Soap and shampoo you can buy in the local supermarkets.
    Do take insect repellant.
Also you will need a little machine to plug in and some tablets to put in it, (or some have liquid in), you can buy that there then it will have the correct plug on it, put it on before you go out in the evening be sure to shut the windows etc.

Enjoy your holiday, Greece is lovely.
