So what you get now is £440.41 per week, and if you were working 16 hours per week, you would be getting £540.76 - a good hundred pounds more per week. I don't see why (using the figures you have supplied above) you feel you are worse off by working? Maybe I have a different calculator than you......hmmmmm

But, by going to work, you are also keeping yourself in the work force, something that as your children grow will be very useful to you. You are earning a wage, showing your children that you work, you get rewarded, setting an example to them, giving yourself some necessary adult time doing something worthwhile, and setting yourself up for future pay raises and job advancement.

Entitled to is not accurate, as it assumes eligibility for all benefits, it does not take into consideration the thousands of pages of rules that will stop someone from getting certain benefits, that will cause conflicts with other benefits, or mistakes in the system etc.

Its a 'ideal world' scenario, where you are entitled to everything possible with no questions asked, and never any mistakes made.
[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.
    [/greenhighlight][redtitle]
The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that

Couldnt have said it much better myself.

Thousands (If not hundreds of thousands) of words written about benefits cannot be condensed into what entitledto is.
