FAST Wizard
Start - programs - accessores - system tools - files and settings transfer wizard
The "source / old " PC is the laptop
The "destination / new" PC is the netbook
I believe the process lets you save files to an external source (like a HDD). Haven't used it personally, but it carries across all your files, and allows you to add additional ones. If you have them all in one location, you could merely copy the documents to an external hdd, but I'd recommend the wizard first.Owner of andrewhope.co.uk, hate cars and love them

Or probably a cheaper and quicker way if you don't have a home network is to get a USB stick if you can lay your hands one one - friend maybe, and transfer files that way. And it's quicker than your usual ethernet cable (unless you have gigabit cards).
After all, this is 'moneysavingexpert.com' - why buy a cable/usb stick when you can borrow one if it's a one off process?0
