Pay Pal Rip Off ????

Dont know if this affects anyone else, but i had an email from Pay Pal, telling me they had made a mistake and deducted some money from bank account (£24) twice instead of just once.
They said they had reimbursed me and paid it back into my paypal account, which they had, but when i went to transfer it back to my bank, they wanted to charge me 25p for the privelidge. Now i know that 25p is not a lot of money, but its the principle of the thing. Why should they make money from their mistakes ??? And if this happens a lot, they must be making a wedge from being useless !!
Has this happened to anyone else ??
Regards

It happened to me the other way round. I withdrew £68 last week and received it in my bank. Then yesterday the exact same amount went back into the bank from Paypal, 2 payments for the price of 1.
They have taken the money out of my Paypal account, not my bank account. Unfortuantly for them there is not a lot left in my account, now my balance is -£530 -
Yes also happened to my husband they deducted £5.82 twice. He had an email about the error and has been credited for the error. He paid the money to my personal account plus the extra to make it to £50. I then pay the money back to the bank account. This way it never costs us to withdraw under £50.0

There is a thread already running over on the ebay and other auctions board. It seems to have been a glitch that affected some users on a certain day and is currently being rectified.

This has also happened to others, see the main thread. However be warned that leaving your paypal account with a negative balance will affect your credit rating and they may even set debt collectors on you as would any other financial institution. It is best to pay back the mis transferred 2nd payment even though it was not your error.
