switched off washer still going!!

hi,this morning came in and noticed my washing was still washing after 2 hours on a 30 min cycle!switched it off on front of washer but it kept going-had to turn it off at wall- any ideas??:eek:

  • Does it have an electronic programmer? If it does, then leaving it switched off at the plug may "reboot" the system.

    If it starts where it left off, or sticks again, then you will have to get a repair person in. Worth checking the machine handbook to see if it mentions this in the troubleshooting section.

    various valves & sensors tell the controller what to do next. if anyone of them sticks etc...
    switching off for ten minutes sometimes resets it all.

    if in doubt give it a bang!
