  • There's a large one in Exeter on a Sunday morning at the Matford Park and Ride on the Marsh Barton Industrial Estate, and another on the Sidmouth Road out of Exeter, coming from the M5, go past the Westpoint showground and it is just around the corner - less than 1 mile - on the left in a field.

Haven't been too either as I can't be bothered getting up early enough on a Sunday.
  • I will go to one of these - will see which is the nearest one first!!!

We just came back from a holiday in Seaton , at the Axevale Caravan site... where are you staying , lovely part of the world but was a bit disappointed with the steep pebbly beach at Seaton itself... we had small children with us and it was unsuitable except when the tide was right out....

Hiya you will be pleased to know the the caravan site was excellent. Clean and well run , it is small and quiet we were there with our grandchildren who enjoyed themselves very much.
The site only has a small playground and a little paddling pool which were both very clean and although there were plenty of children on the site they seemed all well behaved and as the weather was so spectacular when we were there they were out most of the days... there is plenty of space for the children to run around and a footpath that leads to the village itself , about a 15 min walk to the beach and town through pleasant fields.. there is a Co-Op supermarket too in Seaton which we tended to run down to in the car (2mins) so as not to carry the shopping back... you can get milk and paper onsite...

  • it sounds great - we didnt want a big site and this one sounded about right, we will be visiting diggerland and i wanted to go to a boot sale, will have to look to see if there are any sandy beaches nearby or drive to, i will be looking at websites this week to see what other day trips i can take my son on when we are there, i looked at crealy but it looks a little young for him.
Anyway i`m glad you had nice weather for it!!
hopefully it will brighten up before we go on saturday!!

If you want to ask any other questions feel free.....

You need a couple of 50p for the electric meter but we hardly used any at all..and they don't supply sheets and pillow cases... no duvets only scratchy blankets so we took our own duvet and pillows.....

Crealy was great we had 8yrs to 16yrs kids with us and they had a great day at Crealy... the best beachs we found were Dawlish of course which was perfect but most of the beachs we found were steep and pebbly with sand only showing with the tide out....
