Perhaps you could edit your original post and explain the situation a little more clearly to enable us to help you.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

sorry
my hubby put a dep on a van the other day with pay pal of £500 .
now he dont want to buy this van and can not aford it how do we get our money back from pay pal0 -
Was this through eBay (auction/BIN) or just PayPal (He just paid this way).
Aren't deposits non-refundable?
Why has your husband suddenly changed his mind after paying the deposit.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

The best thing to do is contact the seller and try to come to an agreement. (they keep some of the deposit).
Why should the seller be messed about and lose money because you husband can't follow up his actions?

Did the ad say if the deposit was refundable or non-refundable?
If the latter , then looks like you lost your deposit.
Question is......have you even contacted the seller yet and got his / her response?
Best to find out if the seller will refund your husband's deposit first. If they do GREAT!!! If they say " No " find out why they won't...then might be the best time to ask for advice here.
Good Luck

Like the others have said talk to your seller you might be able to come to an arrangement.

Yeah you will have to talk to the seller and see what they say - the best situation is for them to refund the deposit minus their fees for listing etc. Though the seller may not agree to this and say a deposit is a deposit and is non refundableWeight Loss - 102lb0

If I was a seller, I would probably stick to my guns over this one. You may have to negotiate etc or give a certain amount to him to get the rest back ...0
