Argos VENT BED HELL

Hi, Quick version.
Brought a bed in Nov 2008 in a sale had to get a report because it had a fault (Argos agreed to refund the report and replace the bed and mattress brought as one so sent back as one)
Got the replacement bed and mattress, However the bed had white paint on and was missing some parts (looked 2nd hand). Argos sent the parts in the post. But the mattress was damaged one of the springs was poking out the side and this had caught my mattress sheet and fitted sheet tearing these. Argos agreed to replace the bed and mattress but was out of stock and also agree to give me the money back for a new fitted sheet and mattress protector. I got the cheapest ones and sent them the receipt. I agreed to wait till i got the new bed before they sent the cheque.
NOW the bed arrives today, I watched them unload it they dropped the bases on the floor then dragged them. They took the old bed away i refused to sign for the bed because the sides of the basements are damaged. The guy was on the phone in my flat saying they must of got damaged in the back of the van when it was dragged. They simple said that they did not care if i did not sign for it and i said that i was not happy spending a lot of money on a bed (when you have not got it then it is a lot) he said good job it was not an expensive bed.
Why cant they check the items and take care of them? I have wasted time waiting in and money on phone calls. I just dont know what to do. Waiting on a phone call from CS.
Feel a bit better now i have had a vent.
