I had a bit a dispute with NPower where they were billing us according to us having an imperial meter when in fact we had a metric one. Now, 5 months after we let them know and asked them to recalculate our actual bill, they've sent it through.
It's for £658 and that's for c.8 months in a two bed flat:
We've used 1481 units. Our bill states our first 2969 units are charged at 7.496p and our next 13733 at 2.488p. I can't help but think we have been billed on an Imperial tariff as there is no way we will use 2969 units over the course of a year so we'll never benefit from the lower rate. Or have we just ended up with a really bad rate?
All advice welcome!
Thanks,
Sam

I am afraid your new bill is correct:(.
1481 metric units converts to just over 16000 kwh which is what you have been billed for.
I do not understand the bit about not benefitting from the lower rate as on this bill you have 13000 kwh on the lower rate.
The bill is quite high but don't forget the 8 months covers the cold witer period.
Ps think I understand, it is the first 2969 kwh not units.0 -

Ah yes, I was getting units & kwh muddled up. Thanks for the advice.

I just sat here with my calculator and nearly passed out when I worked out that 16,000 Units is around 187,300kWh. I was about to switch for that price haha0
