Kitchen

I appologise if this posting is in the wrong place.

Due to a small accident (leaving a tap running :-[) I managed to flood my kitchen over the weekend :o

My kitchen is very old, and I am hoping to replace it in the near future. However, due to the flood, the floor now needs to be lifted and the deadening between my flat and the flat below will have to be removed.

Yes, I managed not only to flood my flat, but also the one below :-[ ;D

I have a breakfast bar, which may have to be uprooted, if the floor has to come up. Therefore, I am considering just redoing the kitchen at the same time. Kill two birds with one stone and all that.

But I am totally new to the world of home improvements (only being a home owner for 10 weeks). Can anyone help me as to where to start to find out the best place to buy a kitchen from, how to find out if a price is reasonable, the best way to plan a kitchen etc.

All advice and help would be amazing. And if the couple who live below me are reading this - I am sooo sorry. :)

Thanks in advance

yes have a look at your home insurance policy.

MFI or Ikea do good units.

If you need a good builder to sort out the work let me know, depending on where you are based. I am not a builder or get anything out of it other than the satisfaction of a recommendation
