I got this one a few weeks ago...
Hello
My name is Dave and I am from the Support of WorldPay.
We have received the payment order (ID 0220712,Receipt Date 09/07/2006) from
you and we need to
make a verification of the details you have filled in, as we have received a
notice from your card
service stating that there was a chargeback made by the owner of the card with
which you have made
the payment and that your level of authorization has been altered during your
last transaction.
This is a very serious matter. We have deducted the amount of the chargeback,
GBP 149.89, from
your account and added our standard fee of GBP 24.00 as well (you can see your
payment details in
the attachment).
We have failed to contact you using the telephone number you have provided
earlier, meeting no
response.
As a precaution, we have limited access to your account in order to protect
against future
unauthorized transactions. Please understand that this is a security measure
intended to help
protect you and your personal information.
Please contact your credit card company to resolve this matter.
Best Regards,
Dave Gollick
I don't even know who they are! These "companies" don't start an email with "hello I'm Dave..":rotfl: evidently a scam. I promptly replied " Iv'e never heard of world pay and I don't owe you any money so don't email me again!"

WorldPay is a legit company.
What you've got is a phishing email, which you should never reply to because they send out a ton of emails at once hoping that some are real addresses. When you reply, they know your address is real. Some ask you click a link and enter your info.
Block the sender and don't worry about itBulletproof0 -
Yeah it's probably another 419er, I love them!0

I had this as well a few weeks ago,It is not World pay themselves, just someone pretending to be them as it is a scam as it is mentioned on the World pay website.

Yeah, I knew it was i've read tonnes of things like this, they make me laugh. They could at least try and make the effort to email someone who actually knows who they are and even has an account! All the better they don't as I'm sure people do fall for them, in fact they do unfortunately!0
