Tesco Club Card Deals - Hilton Hotels

Hmm... The Stitch family fancied a weekend in london to explore the capital. So checked out the Hilton Hotel web site and selected a hotel slap bang in the centre of London. The cost of a family room on the web site was £150 per room per night.

Having loads of Tesco Club Card vouchers we decided that a couple of nights via the TCC deal would be a great use of them (£75 vouchers = £300 hotel). Never having used them for this before i rang the Hilton hotel, only to find that there is a different tarriff for the Tesco deals.

The same room for 2 nights would cost £451.20! How can they justify an extra £150 just for using Tesco vouchers.

I will be dropping Tescos a line in the morning to ask if they know about this.

Am I being silly? What do others think to thsi dual pricing?
Nice to save.

This dual pricing applies in all the hotels and holidays and Tesco are aware of it. If you check the Deals website it tells you that the brochure prices shown are only a guide and you have to ring for a quote. Several people have posted here that for some of the holidays on offer it was cheaper to buy from the brochure than use clubcard deals. For instance, free child places were not available using the deals.

We are going to a Marriott hotel over bank hol w/end and it is costing the same as brochure price. Also you don't send the vouchers in advance, you hand them over on arrival, so you can book before you order the vouchers!

Not quite, BB. I booked a week in DLP through Cresta using clubcard deals vouchers. I got the extra night free, as well as free child's place and the overall price of the holiday was exactly the same as it would have been had I paid cash. So, not all holidaycompanies who allow Tesco deals vouchers to be used operate a dual pricing system. I paid for the holiday entirely with deals vouchers, by the way.
