I was on a Stagecoach bus today in Merseyside and notice they have introduced Pay Wave readers near the bus driver so you can pay the cash fare with a contactless debit card!0

They have them on the concourse ticket dispenser machines to in Glasgow Queen Street station and I beleive Boots maybe starting a national roll out soon.0
