Personal Numbers - Classified Ads

Just a reminder for people to check the phone number your calling up about an ad in the classifieds i.e Gumtree and other publicaitons.

We were puzzled why the mobile bill showed a 1 minute call for £0.59 it turned out the number that we thought was a mobile number (0702****) was in fact a personal number, not sure if required, the ad certainly didn't make you aware of the high cost.

I also read eleswhere here on MSE how people are getting messages left by potential buyers to call such numbers when perhaps they have something for sale, cars for example.

Like l say its just a reminder as l feel its easy to overlook these numbers

I didnt know about these numbers until now so thanks for the warning.

But dear God why did OFCOM choose numbers that can easily be mistaken as mobile numbers, are they run by retards !!!!!!.

Make it start 04 or 06 or anything that we the public would be aware of and not get stung with.

OFCOM are a joke and this sums it up perfectly.
