They sell the giant Jenga at Matalan for £25 if you are interested.

doh..... went into Matalan today, none there, they said it may have only been selected stores....I've seen them online but they seem to be quite a bit more pricey

l'd have thought presents for a 2nd marriage are the same as a first - depends on what they WANT.
We have got a list for ours in September and I am just hoping we don't get any 'horrors' I have been married before and believe me the presents we were bought 'off list' were not that thoughtful at all!

What about buying them a gift through a charity?

I know you can buy many different things in someone's name through Oxfam. Like a cow for a village etc, or a well.

That kind of thing is pretty different and off the wall and theyre more likely to remember being given something, especially since it's unlikely they'll end up with two!

Like you say they're pretty much have everything, and wedding gifts were traditionally meant to be items to help the newly weds set up home together, but if they've already got all that, why not give a little something to the world on their behalf :)

My friend is haveing a 'quiet' 2nd wedding. Has anyone any ideas what I could buy for a gift?

They are in their 30's with a house and 3 kids and seem to have most household items. Previously when been stuck I've bought some nice crystal glasses and a bottle of bubbly! I could do with some new ideas though

Still haven't got anything folks and the wedding is this Friday  Any more ideas? I couldn't get the Jenga in time........running at the last minute as usual...:rotfl:

  • Hi, I have the same dilemma and was dreading getting a present for a forthcoming 2nd wedding. I ended up in a quirky little shop selling all sorts of curiosities and I bought 2 hand made and painted egg cups - they are beautifully hand decorated and come with little matching dishes and egg spoons. They are boxed in a funky box and I think they are great. Cost just over £20 for the pair but I think that I actually did well in getting an original and unusual present, also one that is, I think, stragely romantic.
Good luck to you in your hunt. Its a difficult job!

bubbly and a card which encloses a 'voucher' to babysit on x occasions for them?! with 3 kids i bet they'd appreciate it (if you're even in a position to offer for them!).... otherwise..........

    ah
good old ebay - you could buy it now and i bet it'd be delivered in time if it's by courier:
