My friend is haveing a 'quiet' 2nd wedding. Has anyone any ideas what I could buy for a gift?
They are in their 30's with a house and 3 kids and seem to have most household items. Previously when been stuck I've bought some nice crystal glasses and a bottle of bubbly! I could do with some new ideas though

They would probably prefer money or gift vouchers. I don't like to give money if it's asked for on principle but don't mind if no presents are requested.
Or what about tickets to a show, or an offer to babysit for them for a night presented in a nice card with a bottle of wine. Something for all the family including the children - a board game for example. Do they have any hobbies? Maybe you could buy them something for a hobby that they enjoy? Plants or ornaments for the garden?0 -

How about garden games. Giant Jenga, Croquet is great fun. That way the whole family can enjoy, and also visitors.0

Marks and Spencer's do some lovely picture frames between £7 and £15 - how about getting them one for their wedding photo?0

Most restaurants will produce you a voucher to a certain value. I always find that people are over the moon with this. It will give them some quality time on their own after the celebrations. As a little extra you coould also produce your own free babysitting voucher so they don't have to worry about arrangements for the kids. Hope this helps.

we're going along these lines for friend having a civil partnership - they've been together for years and don't need anything for the house. i hope they like it!!:happyhear0 -
They sell the giant Jenga at Matalan for £25 if you are interested.0

I recently got married for the 2nd time and said that presents were not neccessary, as like most in our situation we don't really need anything. Anway most people bought us things, particularly photoframes and store vouchers, both of which were really useful (except we can't think of anything to buy with the vouchers!)0

Our vouchers were used to get a new mattress! :A0
