How best would you reform the Benefit System to make it more accessible and fairer to all.0

I think Pensions is a key issue. I am 28 and by the time I reach retirement age there will certainly be no more final salary schemes and I am likely to work for say 10 different companies in my lifetime. If I want to take advantage of company contributions does this mean I will end up with 10 different pension funds and have to pay to transfer each one of them???
Pensions need to be revolutionised to work better with a modern career, people don't stay in one job their whole life anymore. They should be personal and move with you between companies so you can take advantage of the matched contributions without being penalised.0 -
I have all the usual issues but I notice they never talk about EUROPE.
The last election there was a complete Census on the topic of EUROPE by the main parties and also the Media.
A few days after the election the French said NO to a constitution and the Media was then full of EUROPE.
The cost is a cover up by all concerned.
If they sort the European cost to this country then most of the other issues regarding Public Borrowing, Pensions and whatever can be resolved much quicker.0 -
One post says get rid of child/working tax credits If they go my family would be in a very poor position. I fear Tory's would get rid of them also cold weather payments for such as my mum & dad0

I'd like to see complete transparency in lobbying of MPs. Isn't it a bit odd how Mandelson had a little bit of lunch with the directors of the UK recording industry, and then they rush through the Digital Economy Bill with all its anti-filesharing legislation soon after? Why should the UK's recording industry pack such disproportionate clout?
File sharing is not illegal, it's the sharing of copyrighted material that is illegal. Many musicians, myself included, use filesharing completely legally to distribute our own work freely, mainly for publicity purposes. Why should this right be destroyed by these people?
Full lobbying transparency is a major issue in my opinion, as the music scandal I describe above is only the tip of the iceberg. In fact, the scale of it puts the MP Expenses Scandal to shame....0 -
One of the problems is that lobbyists often do a large part of the preliminary drafting of certain bills, and use terminology which many MPs then don't recognise and are too lazy/busy to spend time familiarising themselves with. Indeed many bills get insufficient scrutiny anyway (as this one did). That's one reason why there are so many '.... (Amendment No. x) ...' pieces of legislation.0

Why has this Labour government promoted discrimination in favour of the Scottish and against the English (prescription charges, house conveyance rules, education fees voting rights etc), and what are the other parties proposing in order to sort out and return our nation to parity?0

My question would be:
Whether or not you plan to allow the FSA to continue, how do you plan to ensure that banks and building societies do treat their customers fairly, as the FSA 'Treating Customers Fairly' initiative seems to have been spectacularly ignored to date as these financial organisations continue to put their profits before their customers?0
