  • Greenbee and Sumermoon Glad it's not just me, I really can't be bothered today.
In my HHC I did manage to tidy the hall, just needs hoovering now. I put the smaller dog crate on top of the big one and it gives us loads more space. Does look a bit like doggy bunk beds though:rotfl:

Happy birthday Emma :bdaycake:(I know how to do that now;):D)

  • Well done! An I don't mean that in a patronising way, I can only get my housecleaning act together every few weeks. I've only managed to cook a fancy omelette today! However we did eat it at the dining table because it was the first time since moving in two months ago that we could actually see the table for the mess piled on top!

Managed to blitz the kitchen, dining room and lounge yesterday with help from 8yr old DD, feeling so proud of her, the house and myself!

Anyways, does anyone know a colour safe way of cleaning the cushion covers of the sofas? It's a dark blue fabric, they're filthy but don't want to risk ruining them otherwise the landlord will be after me for a brand new three piece suite!

Happy birthday, Emma. Hope you have a lovely day.
Best wishes for your DB and SIL, boddy.

DS1 has gone out (still half of his weekly papers to do) and DS2 is playing outside, so I'll do a few more jobs. WM x2 is on, pork chops are in the SC and the payment for the preloved.com sale has gone through, so I can parcel up all the cuddlies and accessories ready for collection tomorrow. Will have to scrounge a box from somewhere. Oh, and DH has phoned, telling me about a website for sheds, so I'll have a quick look.

May need a coffee soon... If I could be bothered to get dressed I could wipe down the front door (outside) and sweep our tiny front yard. We'll see.

Well the meal plan for this week has been done, food shopping bought, and shopping put away.

I've also cleaned out my freezer bags with antibacterial wipes as the milk leaked in them.

I'm off to a friend's house this afternoon at 3 for a cuppa and chat - we had no time during the term-time, so looking forward to it.

    Happy birthday to Emma.

    Hugs for boddy and mumto5

Thanks Mags-cat & Dustykitten! Def had fun yesterday but trying to do 2 days worth of flying at level 1 in one day is lots for me (due to clutter ). Might need to spread 3 days over 2? Anyway I've opened windows, put on music & decluttered 2 surfaces. DD found it quite amusing watching me sing & dance to Bon Jovi while decluttering. Unfort DD needed fed wee while ago so I've had to put my feet up and check forum instead of continuing ;). Will do 3rd surface before lunch. Aiming to finish kitchen by tea-time and get stairs hoovered by DD's bedtime. In between this have baby clinic - looking forward to getting out into sunshine :).
    Making small changes everyday....

    Afternoon all

    Today's list complete :)

I've also done all the bedrooms today and two loads of washing are out on the line, blowing well. I'll claim for that when the right day comes round.

While I was watching Joanna Lumley on catchup I took all my CDs out of the rack, cleaned it, whittled out some I'm thinking about, and put the rest back almost in some kind of order. It's still full but I haven't got any piled up by the side any more. The ones I'm thinking about have been put in the spare bedroom, if I haven't missed them in six months they can go to the charity shop. I was hoping it would be a bit emptier so I'd have an excuse to buy more.....

Hope everyone's OK, catching up now.
