Hi there I was wondering if someone could give me some advice, or hopefully just some reassurance!
I have germinated livingstone daisies, pertunias and astas in a the little greenhouse tray that came with the seeds. Today I have pricked them out and put them into bigger pots as they had 4 leafs and were getting crowded. I was very careful when doing this and only touched them by the leaves and not the stalk. The problem is I have just looked at them and they have gone all droopy, they aren't standing up like they were before, is this normal?????? Also, just noticed my corriander has done the same!
Sorry if its a stupid question but I am a complete newbie when it come to growing things from seeds so I am learning as I go along!
Another quick question....... I have sowed some spring onions today ( or should I say my 6 yr old daughter has) in a trough, it says on the packet they can be kept outside is that correct? I live in the northwest so I would expect we shall still be in for some light frost.
Thank you in advance for any responses and I am sure over the coming weeks I will be asking some more tedious questions xxx

Hi,
After you have pricked out little seedlings and put them in bigger containers, they can sometimes go droopy to start with. This is usually until their roots sort of find their way into the new compost and start to take up water. I'm presuming you watered the compost before you transplanted the seedlings into it and watered them in afterwards. If so, have another look at them tomorrow and hopefully they should be less droopy. My tomatoes went droopy this year for some reason but were absolutely fine the next day & have grown into sturdy plants. Good luck...hope its good news tomorrow!2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.

Thanks for your quick response x
Yes I watered them before and after, I thought that may have been the problem and that I had drowned them, so its good to hear I did the right thing!
Thanks for your reassurance and fingers crossed for tomorrow x
RE the spring onions, will they be ok outside as per the instructions on the packet?0 -
I'm sure they will be fine, it just sounds like a shock to the system to me, they will recover.
Abit like you and me, when you really really don't want to get up in the morning and someone comes and pull the covers off you
