Alternatives to formmail

I have created a site that will include in all 4 contact us forms which I have setup to use formmail currently in the testing stage but I have used formmail in the past and have run into problems configuring it and just getting it to work has been so much hassle and I wondered if anyone could help me by suggesting some free alternatives

I don't know of simpler alternatives to Matt's FormMail, however I can help you to get it working if necessary.

For better alternatives, there are nms FormMail, an improved and direct replacement for FormMail, and TFmail.pl which is more flexible, for example it allows a different confirmation email for each web page form and HTML format emails. Both these can be downloaded from http://nms-cgi.sourceforge.net/scripts.shtml.

For even more flexiblity, you could use Active Server Pages and write your own form handling and email script. Most web hosts should support ASP. To use ASP, you simply rename your .htm(l) pages .asp and then embed script language (VBScript, JScript, etc.) in the HTML. You can then use asp send mail cdonts to send emails from a form submission.
