How do I fix my keyboard?

Daughter was on main pc last night when she called on me to 'fix it'. I have no idea what she has done (and neither does she, she reckons all she did was the same thing she always does on Club Penguin!)..... but the number keys and the enter key now no longer work correctly.
The number keys above the letters now open small windows that pop up from the bottom left of the taskbar and the number pad on the right of the keyboard does nothing. The enter button now opens Windows Media screen.
How do I change all this please? (Windows 7.)

Does this behaviour persist after rebooting?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

It was the same after just 'restarting', but all our electricity has just gone off for 20 minutes and now the pc is up and running again, it seems fine.
I thought the 'restart' facility was the equivalent of a cold boot but without having to actually switch off completely? *confused* Oh well, seems ok now anyway.Herman - MP for all!

Hmm. I am more concerned now that you have rebooted and it has gone away - because that suggests it is not a windows setting which was altered but some program loaded into memory - although she might have put the PC into a mode for Media use.It was the same after just 'restarting', but all our electricity has just gone off for 20 minutes and now the pc is up and running again, it seems fine.

I still think I would check over for viruses...Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Do you have a Function-lock button you might have accidentally pressed?0

Checked that, thanks. At the time it didn't make any difference but it's all fine now anyway.
