Thank you Tesco

DH popped to teco tonight at 7pm!!
He came home and said Tesco have a glass top garden table, 4 chairs and papasol for £50.
About an hour later I said go and get it then, we are moving to our 1st house in a couple of weeks and need one anywayl! up to now only seen ones that were well out of our price range.

SO DH went down there and there was the display one and no more left ARGH!
There was a man there who said they had sold 10 today and would be getting more in tomorrow. DH explained he wouldnt beable to get there tomorrow so would try in the week.
The man went and got the manager and they agreed DH could have the display one:j
The man unassembled the whole set, checked it over - all fine! and put it in the original box and sealed it up securely. He even gave DH a bag of allen keys (10+) he had in his pocket!

When DH got to the checkout he handed over £50 and the manager said `discount for this gentleman please`:D:j SO we paid...£42.50

BARGAIN!!!!:rotfl:

Sounds like great customer service to me :) You should write/email into the store or head office to praise them, only takes a few minutes and reminds everyone who works there how valuable it is to the company.

Someone who felt they had received great service from me when I worked in retail wrote into head office bless her and I got rewarded with a 20 pound bonus & a thank you letter to put in my file, and it made my month knowing it was worth going the extra mile for her.

    Debt-free and Proud!
I have forwarded an email i actually can not believe that happened!
I keep looking at the reciept and thinking wow!

We don`t often get a bargain but this to me was especially good as in deed the customer support was fab!
My DH did not ask for the display or ask for them to dismantle it, it was all on their terms :)

    Fantastic x

Lucky! I have to get five "appreciations" before I get any reward worthwhile (a £25 voucher or a meal for two in the brasserie).

One appreciation gets me a biro.
