DooYoo questions / other advice required!

I recently joined DooYoo (also daisy_jean) and have started to post regularly.

Just got a couple questions for others who use this site;

1. How many reviews do you tend to do per login?
I've been limiting myself to 3-4 per login, and have been trying to do detailed reviews of 300-400words where I can. I don't really want to do anymore than this at each time, as I feel the quality of my reviews would slip.

2. Do you prefer to get Amazon vouchers or save up for a cheque?
I'm only upto 6505 points so far, so currently neither is an option, but just asking for future reference. Are the Amazon vouchers e-vouchers? Do they have to be used within a certain time-frame, or could I save them up? (eg. for a b/day present later in the year).

I quite enjoy this so far, and since I start maternity leave next week (whoop whoop!) will be looking to do this more regular to stave off boredom.

I'm going to be off work for 6weeks before DD is born, but as I work within a baby unit in a private day nursery which is physically quite demanding, working further on has simply not been an option!

So am looking for things like DooYoo to keep me busy whilst at home (oh, and further suggestions would be marvellous if anyone has any?!).

I gave up on this as I wrote reviews, got marked Very Useful and then they deleted the reviews because 'It wasn't what they wanted'
From what I've read on here people have struggled to get cheques but no problems with vouchers
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?
  • Read my 'Negative Opinions about Dooyoo are actually true' thread and you will hopefully come to realise they are a waste of time.

You may invest time and effort for nothing.

As long as that's a very big risk that you are willing to take then go ahead.

Surely that's my mistake to make then. Other's seem to have done fine with DooYoo from what I've read. I'll await other opinions before I pass judgement thank you. ;)

I wasn't telling you what to do, just merely advising.

I write on DooYoo (nykied) and I find them brilliant. I've earned £70 in Amazon vouchers so far and I've just applied for a £50 cheque yesterday.

The vouchers are e-vouchers and I think they have a 6 month use-by date, but you can stick them on your Amazon account and they just stay there until you use them. Once you redeem from DooYoo, they usually arrive within a week.

I don't know about the cheques as the one I applied for yesterday was my first.

What I got told when I first joined, is to wait until one review has at least 30 rates before posting another. This is so you don't get accused of churning, which will mean that the regular members will avoid your reviews. Use the time that you're on there to rate new reviews. Go into 'DooYoo community' and click on newest reviews.

Basically, if you write good reviews and rate people back, then you'll enjoy it. I'd also look at posting your reviews on Ciao, but on there, you only earn money through rates recieved. Unlike DooYoo, you don't get paid for actually posting the review.
  • I've written on Dooyoo since 2004. I have never once had any issue with vouchers or cheques, no reviews have ever been deleted on me, or had any question marks.

I think its a fab way to gather up some extra cash. I've just checked out for an Amazon voucher as I needed curtains for my living room and found the perfect pair on amazon.

I usually go for vouchers as I am always aiming for something in particular... a new kettle, a birthday present etc...

    Thanks for the replies guys!

Think am gonna continue with it for a bit, and see how I get on. Haven't logged on since Sunday, but from next week when my mat leave starts I'll probably log on every couple of days or so.

Am aiming to collect Amazon vouchers, for the hubby's birthday in July, since I'll only be getting stat mat pay (which although is better than nothing, is only half of my current wage!) :D
  • I have recieved one £50 cheque and just claimed another last week. The cheques take 10-14 days to recieve.

It probably makes sense to use DooYoo... or at least you are more likely to make money from DooYoo than you are if you start your own blog and pass the same reviews.
  • Hi folks,

I've also just signed up for DooYoo (chrisskoyles), and when I say 'recently', I mean in the last couple of hours, so no reviews up there yet.

Thought I'd check out what people are saying about it on here, really so that I could see how much time is worth investing in it. There seems to be a lot mixed opinions, but I'm going to give it a go anyway and see how I get on.

Anyway, just wanted to share that for some reason!
