Rural Retreats. No customer care

We had our second stay in one of their cottages, a smaller cottage this time. Don`t bother using them, ok they do have `designer` fittings in their cottages but they also have a serious shortage of practical items. This time, no microwave, no serving dishes for the table, no-where to hang any coats after being out, dim lighting, dozens of woodlice in the kitchen at night. Cost of cottage £700 for one week and a double size bed with a cheap mattress, substituted after the first bed collapsed even before we had gone into it. My dh just sat on it and I was in the bathroom
Dreadful customer service. In my letter back `never happened before` `what was going on to make the bed collapse` honestly we are 62 and 63 and it happened at 11 pm so very thoughtfully, we pulled the mattress onto the floor and slept like that so as not to disturb the owners as it was late
We will never use them again. We will go back to our £400 cottages with all mod cons and get ourselves a hamper from waitrose on the way. Rural retreats is DEFINITELY not worth the extra money
