Hi All,

sorry if this is worng place, but did not know where else to post this.

my dad has a direct debit, but due to not having enough funds for direct debit, it has been not paid.

I like to know how much will hailfax charge him??? i tried to look at their website, but could not find any information.

If your dad has an Easycash or Cardcash account (i.e. a basic bank account) the Unpaid Item Fee is £15. If your dad has a current account, there is no charge.

Are you sure? Direct Debits are not normally setup against savings accounts. Also the Instant Access Savings Account is normally branded Bank of Scotland, not Halifax. That said, I've checked both websites (Halifax and BoS) and the BoS IASA T&C's and there is no mention of charges for unpaid items.
Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.
