Eurotunnel crossing

Hi

I have a eurotunnel crossing booked for a week's stay at the end of August. I cannot use it as our car is caput but cannot get my money back either. Eurotunnel have told me that all is needed is the booking number, which I have, and the car + driver details are taken on arrival. Is this something that I can sell on ebay or does it contravene any rules?

We have now bought eurostar tickets as the eurotunnel crossing was booked as part of a holiday package so if we could make some money back to cover these, it would be a help.

Thanks

    cant see why not,

i'd watch out though as you may have trouble proving delivery.

personally i'd POST the number by recorded delivery - just incase, that way you have a tracking number and can prove that the recipient has actually got it!

oh, put details of the 'weekend' also!

I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

I went recently and you have to swipe the card you used to pay for the tickets.

    Thanks to everyone.

There is no point in hiring a car as we now have Eurostar tickets. The crossing was booked by the holiday company and I only have a slip of paper with a reference number. It is booked in my name but without any details of car etc.

When I spoke to Eurotunnel I was told that the name could be changed on arrival and the car details, number of passengers etc. was irrelevant and that all was needed was the booking reference. I was told that as long as the size of car fitted with the general requirements that up to 8 passengers could travel.

It all seems very vague to me but that is what they told me.

P.S. I would press the thanks button but it doesn't seem to work!
