That's the worst part of becoming an adult
..you have to be the one acting all grown up & responsible
For some it comes naturally, but I fear I've still a l-l-l-l-o-o-o-o-n-n-n-n-g-g-g-g way to go before anyone could accuse me of being sensible
You are doing OK Petal; a lot has happened this year--some good, some not so--but that's the way it goes. We need the bad to appreciate just how good the good is, so don't panic.
Pass on my regards to mum, & have a lovely hot bath with lots of bubbles when you get in, before cozying up with that young beau of yours x

How are you & your Mum today?0

Evening guys
I went into school today - not sure it was the best idea though! Was meant to be doing singing with Year 8s second lesson and had to ask my HoD to take my class as I couldn't stop coughing and thought I was going to be sickMy ears are hurting now and generally feel rubbish-y - I'm sat on the sofa with a hot water bottle and pjs already on and definitely don't intend to do much this evening!
My mum is doing okay though, thanks for asking
BMF - a bubble bath sounds lovely right now, but we don't have any bath bubbles!Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Hi there SF. I have seen your on other threads, and like Gemmzie didn't realise you had your own one oops!
Wow what a big change year this has been. I can understand why you have felt emotional at times, I think I would have done too.
Congratulations on getting engaged. A couple of tips we thought of was doing a ferry run to calais and getting the booze for the wedding there cheap. You would have to check with your venue whether they would charge you corkage though. Even then you would be able to get a better class of wine probably for the same price.....
That is always assuming you are serving alcohol at the wedding. I have know some that didn't....
Is there anyone who would make the cake for you as their wedding gift for you? That would be one less thing to arrange. Likewise party favours, table decorations? What about the flowers at the venue/church could someone do these for you as a present? Will your parents be helping out at all or are you paying for it all yourselves?
Do you really HAVE to have a new wedding dress? I remember once I think it is in Birmingham, that there was a charity shop that specialised in 2nd hand wedding dresses. You could get absolutely stunning ones for £100 or so....
good luck with the planning, but make sure you know what you want, before people start 'suggesting' things
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

:hello: chev and thanks for popping by!
I think we will be having alcohol at the wedding - the price includes some wine I think, but then we're just leaving people to buy their own as we couldn't afford to supply it all! I think I'm going to make the favours and invitations, once I can decide on things! And the flowers are going to be done by some friends so they will be hardly anything
Both my parents and OHs parents are helping out - we're saving too so hopefully it'll be okay!
Wedding dresses - I really haven't let myself think about them yet - I want to lose weight before I do and it's not going wellI don't seem to have any motivation at the moment and seem to be, apparently, an emotional eater!
Had another long day, and my coughing is a lot worse. Bought some cough medicine from Te$co on the way home so hopefully that'll make some differenceBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Oh dear, poor you SF, and your mum too...but do take time off if you are feeling so rotten...you won't be able to work well...and you will be spreading your bug to everyone else!!
I kept going with my bug for over a week and ended up at the docs on Monday after three asthma attacks that day. I was put on a nebulizer when I got there and came away with steroids and antibiotics...feeling better at last today. Sometimes you just need to admit defeat and curl up at home with a hot drink!
Hope you feel better soon (((((hugs to you both))))). x
