New paint job - sanded and can see patches :( - Advice please

Hi there.
Really need some advice regarding painting our room.
Have recently had a bedroom replastered and in the process of putting on mist coats. The missus decided today she would paint the 2nd mist coat and whilst doing the ceiling didn't wipe the walls afterwards so now we have some big blobs on the walls they have hardened.
She then proceeded to sand them and afterwards applied the next mist coat. The problem being is that you can quite clearly see the area's that have been sanded - they actually look too smooth compared to the rest of the wall if you know what I mean.
Technically the next coat should be the first top coat but I think the patches are going to show through this (similar to a couple of patches in our bathroom).
Can anyone give me some idea's how to get the correct texture back to hide these patches please.
Thanks

Is there not a way to reapply the texture?
Don't really want to sand the whole wall if I can help it.
Would it be worth using a medium pile roller instead of a short pile to bring out the texture on the smooth bits?0 -
Coat walls with roller, continue with spray?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
