Mouldy compost

I've just put a load of kitchen waste into my compost 'dalek' which is nearly full. But I noticed that it seems very slimy and some stuff is mouldy rather than 'composting'. It's on bare earth so worm should be able to get in to it.
Any suggestions how I could kick start it to making compost?

Thanks:beer:

you need to add some paper, shredded newspaper or cardboard. You can get the compost activators that you sprinkle on when you add it otherwise just use a pot of male urine.

Way too much greens to browns and not enough aeration will cause this, but it's easily sorted. Just add more of your browns, scrunched or shredded paper, egg boxes or cardboard. Chuck in a few twigs as well they keep the mix loose and open. Next get your garden fork and stick into the compost and mix it like a big old cake the more you turn the stuff around the better the magic composting process works. Lot's of peeps love the accelerator stuff that you can add to speed up the composting, I personally don't bother with it.

No need to buy accelerator, use the money to buy a pint or two of beer, drink, then once filtered via your kidneys, add to compost

Or ignore the beer and just add urine anyway

I use 'comfrey' in my compost bin as it's a 'free' activator
