Question about Buildings Insurance

Does anyone know of any buildings insurance company that I can go to in person that will give me a schedule at the same time as I take out the policy. Most of the high-street banks and building societies insist on sending the schedule through the post.
The reason I ask is that I am supposed to be completing a house purchase on Wednesday and the solicitor has asked to see proof of buildings insurance in the form of a schedule. I took out a policy online last Thursday but the paperwork hasn't come through yet and I was looking for a backup plan in case it does not turn up in time.

Ask your insurers to fax or post the certificate directly to the solicitor - they will have dealt with people about to complete many times before!Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

I will ask them on Monday but I have a feeling that the insurers I went with (More Than) will not do this for me. I spoke to several high-street banks/building societies yesterday - Nationwide, Santander, HSBC and none of them would even fax the policy to the local branch.
The only company that could was Leeds BS but they couldn't manage to get the amount of cover on the policy schedule right.0 -
Most unusual....it is "normal" for the solicitor to be fxd on day of completion...0

Have you tried going through a broker, if its basic hh insurance they can normally process the policy for you in the office and print off your documents right there. Not always the cheapest option but if your desperate....0

What does your solicitor say? Seriously it is commonplace for buyers to need confirmation at short notice, have you turned the tables and asked any of the insurers how they usually handle this situation?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

If the documents don't show up in Monday's post I will ring my solicitor and see what my options are.0 -

DirectLine are worth a try. We arranged home insurance with them over the phone and they faxed the details to our solicitor the following day.0
