Colour of lemon on new lemon tree?

My hubby bought me a lemon tree from homebase today, and it already has two fuit on, both lemons are orange coloured at the moment and
quite large, just wondered if anyone can tell me about them? have googled but can't find anything about why they are orange? TIA :)

    The lemons you grow at home are more orange coloured, I believe there are oranges in their heritage.

    Have you checked the label on the tree? Clemantines have a similar leaf to lemons so perhaps its been mislabelled. My lemons always start off green and turn totally yellow when they're ready to pick.
