Which type of lawnmower?
I need to buy a lawnmower today, but after looking at some I'm confused and haven't got a clue which type to get.:o
My garden is about 15 metres long and 7 metres wide and the ground is quite bumpy. I'm not worried about getting stripes or anything, I just want it to look tidy!
Any help would be appreciated.:o

Thanks very much for replying.
I'd narrowed it down to two, one a hover mower and one a rotary, so think I'll go with this one

I would go with the rotary mower. When I was a newbie gardener I had a flymo hover mower (cos it looked nice
) with grass collection box and it was so heavy to manouver . When it gets half full of grass and it doesnt have wheels to rest on, then you need some serious upper body strength to do a whole lawn...at least I used to get a good workout :rotfl:
Then I got an rotary mower with grass collection box and it's just like pushing a pushchair around the garden, easy peasy

I'm with Avstar, same story.
Thought hover would be better on bumpy ground and also tackles overgrown grass, but very heavy to use. Grass collection box on hover mower did not collect all the clippings, next to useless.
Got electric rotary now, so much easier!0 -
I have a small lawn but use a black & decker rotary lawn mower and its very easy to use and collect grass in box to put in compost bin
If you go electric go for one of those circuit breakers to just to be on safe side. So if you do cut the cable you dont get a shock. Around £10
Also get one that is adjustable to cutting and has a safety switch on it so if you let go it cuts off, I think most do this now but worth checking0 -
