Me and my wife I looking to move out of London, we currently paying £500 for 1 bedroom flat in East London with 2 children (2yr old boy and 3month old girl).
We both hate london and are looking to move somewhere that we can get a
2-3 Bedroom House/Cottage/Bunglow for £500-£650 pcm, as we are saving for a deposit and do not want to spend more than necessary.
We are open to most areas between, Colchester to Bishops Storford, but as we both need to get in to London (5-6days a week for work - driving) (twice a week for my wife's uni - trains as she doesn't drive yet so not essential).
We are not looking to move south of the river, nor around the W NW of the m25, would much prefer not to have to drive on the m25 at all.
I work 24 hour call out 1 week in 6 so I need to be able to get into london in around an hour
I would be greatful for any input you guys could give.
kindest regards,

Have you considered Luton/Dunstable? 35 minutes by train to Kings Cross, not to bad down the M1, depends where you need to get to in London really.0

Yeah, we have friends there infact, only the drive kinda puts me off as I need to get to North Woolwich(East London) 6days a week0

We live in Basildon and DH works at Paddington. He uses the train/tube. Basildon to Fenchurch Street in 35 mins. (C2C really good service into London) or drives, access to A13 and A127 really simple.
The advantage of Basildon is that you could get to West Ham on C2C and change onto the right line for North Woolwich without even having to go into London.
Hope this helps, Any questions just ask!

How about Stevenage? Or Harlow? Or Chelmsford?
TBH though you would prob be looking right at the top end of your budget even with negotiating a bit off if you want a house.0 -
Essex would seem to be the place to do some researching?0
