Thanks for pointing this out. I had my order cancelled so I went to Morrisons this evening and got a lovely set for £7.99 :beer: They also had one for £6.99 and some bigger individual mills.

I am very pleased with the service that debenhams provided

I placed the order saturday afternoon and they attemped delivery yesterday but was out. They redelivered today.

Am pleased with my purchase I dont want to take it out the box lol

I'm not being funny but you would say that you are 'very pleased with the service that debenhams provided.'

You weren't one of the people who had three e-mails from them, one an automated one accepting the order, the next saying 'processing' then another saying 'cancelled' even though the item was still available at that point for several more hours on their website!

I have written to Debenhams to complain as it's disgusting customer service. It's one thing if they are out of stock and they didn't realise when someone placed an order, it's another if they cancel and yet you're still able to place the same order on their website.

It's shoddy and dishonest. I for one won't be ordering from them again as I can't trust them.

I'm sure Debenhams didn't do it deliberately - sometimes these things happen.

If you look at the other side of the coin, there are occasions where there are glitches on retailers' websites that are very much in favour of the consumer. Even though the price being indicated is clearly much lower than it should be, sometimes the retailer still honours the deal and us consumers end up with a bargain. Although in your case it was a straight forward transaction and so no need for them to cancel your order, my point is that sometimes these problems occur. It just happens that in this case you lost out.

If I were you, I wouldn't stop using Debenhams. What will you gain from it?

Look on the bright side - by being on MSE, you're likely to find lots of good bargains again in the future...
