made redundant while on maternity leave..

Hi Everyone
I am being made redundant soon, though i have not received anything official as yet except an email from my employer outlining the reasons. I'm happy to take the redundancy (don't have much choice anyway!!) but need help on calculating everything...I was due to go back in a few weeks on the 3rd of may..on smp now..i've been there full 8 years so i know it's £380x8...but it's for the pay in lieu of notice that i'm a bit stuck..is it my full salary before i went on ML to be paid so 8 full weeks salary or does something else need to be calculating because i'm still on smp, should i take this email as "notice", same for calculating holidays...anything else that i should be aware of?????
Any help appreciated!! Thanks
